The worksheets you will find here are a little different to the other worksheets on this site. This is because these worksheets require more from you than the others.
You will need to decide on how much you want to spend on each part of your budge, how much you want to spend overall (realistically) and it relies on each member of the family being truthful about the money they are spending.
Family budgeting is important. Families spend a lot of money and this spending should be controlled.
And controlled does not take the fun out of spending money. It can actually make it more fun because we don’t have to worry/feel guilty about spending money.
Each member of the family will have different things to budget which is why it is important for each member of the family to have their own budget.
For example, kids and teens may have clubs to pay for which adults don’t. Or adults may have food shopping to pay for where as kids do not.
At the end of every week or month it is essential for all of the family to come together so that you can make sure you are in line with your budget.
This all sounds a bit boring but it doesn’t have to be. Challenges could be made for each month and each member of the family should try completing this budget challenge. For example, a smaller amount than usual could be spent by each member and a prize could be given to those who don’t go over this new challenge budget.
