English possibly the only subject you learn at school that actually stays with you for your whole life.
Well it’s certainly the subject that you use most frequently anyway.
This is why I genuinely believe it is important to revise and practice english skills regularly. No matter how old you are.
I think everybody has weak spots in their english skills. Y’know the skill that never quite clicked when you learnt it. Mine is most certainly the correct use of apostrophes. I half know it but in a way I still don’t quite understand it. Maybe there is just some sort of mental block that won’t let us understand these simple rules. But whatever it is there is only one way to beat it.
Practice regularly.I do. I use the free english worksheets I create to practice on. - no joke. Seriously!. This is me admitting it now - I do the worksheets for kids (well they're not actually made just for kids) that I create (just don't tell anyone) - Nobody even has to know. Print out a worksheet (or two), go up into an empty room (maybe even the bathroom if nobody will disturb you in there) and just practice for a couple of minutes. It helps a lot.
You know like how your teachers used to give you worksheets as homework. Everybody pretended to hate them but they all really knew that they needed the worksheets to help them learn. And it did. So it should now.
And it will for kids too. Just the same. But imagine if they get it right now. They won’t need to worry about practicing so much when they are older as they will have learnt their English skills well. Whatever stage they are at, whether it's cursive handwriting (see our free handwriting worksheets) or creative writing (see our creative writing worksheets), give them a helping hand and print them a worksheet.
So what is it that you want to practice? (go on... you might as well take advantage of our free englih worksheets):
