It’s no secret that kids get bored!
It’s also no secret that movies are a great way to combat this boredom. They can keep the kids occupied for up to 2 hours. Wow! There are not many other things that can do this. Movies can be educational, in terms of both moral and knowledge, and they can give us parents a well deserved break.
But movies don’t come free. When we spend money on movies for kids it can seem such a waste if the kids get bored of them after seeing them once. That’s where our quizzes can come in handy (although perhaps ‘handy’ is an understatement).
Using these quizzes can help keep kids interested in their movies. They are no longer simply watching the movie they are involved in it. They are looking for clues and listening to what the characters are saying.
Watching the movie is now becoming a game.
It gives them a challenge and as we know kids thrive on challenges. They want to do well in the quiz and they want to do better than others at the quiz. This is what will inspire them to pay attention to the movie.
Movie quizzes can also be eductional. Children are using diferent senses (listening and sight) to answer questions, they are using understanding to answer the questions with a logical answer and they are enjoying learning.
So, I think we have established that quizzes for movies are a fantastic idea!
